ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Represent I.T. is a National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT) AspireIT program, designed to teach young girls computational thinking and technology skills in a fun, creative, and hands-on environment. NCWIT AspireIT Programs are supported through the supervision and guidance of partner organizations like Texas A&M - San Antonio and Texas State University.

Texas A&M - San Antonio is a military embracing institution whose mission is to support veterans, military personnel and their immediate family affiliation. The Department of Computing and Cyber Security (CCS) runs the Center for Information Technology and Cyber Security, which is NSA/CDE designated for providing CyberSecurity-related education and research. The university has always made a concerted effort to support under-represented communities in the San Antonio area, and their supportive and knowledgeable faculty and students in the CSS department can provide immense support in implementing a program that encourages more students to join and see a viable path into the field of CyberSecurity.
